What length pushrods are you using on 360 with stock non-adjustable valve train and hydraylic cam. When I used 7.50″ there was no pre-load. I found longer 7.520 and used them, but the engine still ticks because the preload is incorrect. One of my engine books, say that 7.534 pushrods are used on 360 engines, but Summit and Jegs just list 7.50 pushrods for 318/360 engine. Engine has Comp 280H magnum cam and 547 heads. :read2:

I’m looking into a 5.7 Hemi conversion in my 1965 Australian built Valiant. It’s basically the same as the US ’64 and ’65 cars.

I just noticed that the M1 I am going to run on the 410 that I have been working on has a small thermostat housing and a smaller thermostat opening in the manifold……..

Does someone know where to get the smaller housing and thermostat that will fit this manifold????

I just got done installing a rebuilt Thermoquad I purchased on the net and have an issue. At first the motor sounded great, idled fast, but ran great. I adjusted the idle, motor sounded great, then suddenly I have a miss. What could it be guys? I’m thinking a fouled plug perhaps? It’s been a LONG time since I cranked this motor up so could a plug have fouled in the process?

I want to up the compression in the 360 I have & need to get a set of dome pistons were in the US do you recommend to buy some Hypotech + 40 pistons.

firered it up cold had 65 pounds at 1800 rpms on my tack after it warmed up for 15 minutes at idel in park i have 35 drop it in first idel at 900 rpms it has 17 pounds.This is a stock oil pump.I think thats ok what do you boysss think.

maybe a silly question but….

what rpm would you suggest should a nearly stock low comp 273 make at pedal to the metal with a 3,23 and 904 tranny. (only modification on engine is an offy-intake and a 4bbl road demon jr. carb 525cfm and an FBO-ignition)

got mine last weekend on the autobahn and could only make 4000 rpm (at approx. 118 mph) is this okay, or should would a more healthy engine make more rpm ??

while normal faster acceleration the tranny shifts a approx. 4500…
