New Thermoquad Install-Engine misses

I just got done installing a rebuilt Thermoquad I purchased on the net and have an issue. At first the motor sounded great, idled fast, but ran great. I adjusted the idle, motor sounded great, then suddenly I have a miss. What could it be guys? I’m thinking a fouled plug perhaps? It’s been a LONG time since I cranked this motor up so could a plug have fouled in the process?

Did an oil preasure check

firered it up cold had 65 pounds at 1800 rpms on my tack after it warmed up for 15 minutes at idel in park i have 35 drop it in first idel at 900 rpms it has 17 pounds.This is a stock oil pump.I think thats ok what do you boysss think.

what max RPM on low comp 273

Hi folks,

maybe a silly question but….

what rpm would you suggest should a nearly stock low comp 273 make at pedal to the metal with a 3,23 and 904 tranny. (only modification on engine is an offy-intake and a 4bbl road demon jr. carb 525cfm and an FBO-ignition)

got mine last weekend on the autobahn and could only make 4000 rpm (at approx. 118 mph) is this okay, or should would a more healthy engine make more rpm ??

while normal faster acceleration the tranny shifts a approx. 4500…

source of strange buzzing found.

Its been driving me crazy but I thought I would share some qiuck information on the buzzing sound my 69dart GTS was making.

Yesterday while removing the AC radiator core,I noticed that the power steering pump pulley seems to be in slight contact with the alt pulley at the water pump if Im describing it right/.When the engine runs it was causing a loud vibrating sound at certain rpms. Im sure once I get a washer behind the pulley,it will move them apart slightly and fix the situation…

Engine won’t stay running

I’ve got a 1966 Dodge Dart with a 273 v8 and a 2bb carter carb. Just got it last saturday from a guy. Says he rebuilt the carb. I start the car and the second I let off the gas it dies. Checked timing, vaccum hoses, fuel pump, fuel filter, and still can’t get it to stay running. I readjusted the idle and air to fuel ratio at the carb, but nothing seems to work. I got the car to stay running by barely changing the timing, but the idle was then too high. Readjusted the idle and the car…

Oil Filter Relocation

I have decide to give up on the 90 degree adapter and go with a filter relo kit. Anyone have any pics of thier setup? Is there any negatives to the relo kits?
