318 EGR Exhaust Ports Welded

I have a 318 from a 1985 Ramcharger that I want to put in a 71 Demon (that I’ve had to walk away from more than once). However, the EGR ports to the exhaust ports have been welded closed. :banghead: Is that going to pose a problem? I wouldn’t think so but I’d like to have some input from someone else.
I have exhaust manifolds from a 71 318 that I’d like to use. The intake has an EGR valve on it but it apparently wasn’t working. Anyway any input would be appreciated.

oil leakage at half to full throttle

fresh 318 w/ eddy cam, intake, headers etc.

passenger side leak at the rear, possibly valve cover.

thought it was oil filter at first but that’s on tight.

Leaks down onto oil filter in any case and then onto header, stinky mess.

At first it was only at the rear passenger side.

Engine Lift Plate Question

If i lift my engine by the lift plate is the Edelbrock RPM Air Gap strong enough to hold the motor?

I just feel a little uneasy since i never did it that way before. I have the lift plate.

Anyone ever had a problem lifting the motor like that?

As you can see by avatar it is all done and ready to go so you can see why i would be worried

The 93 van I just bought is showing a 12 and 45 fault followed by the 55 end of check. According to Allpar 45 is for turbo cars only, what’s up with mine, 5.2 FI Thanks
