New Gas Tank Question

I have a new gas tank for my 64 Barracuda. Ni-Terne plated, whatever that is(guessing a kind of galvanizing???)

Now my question. The underside of the car is coated in what appears to be the same black stuff that my son’s spray in bed liner consists of.

Should I coat the gas tank in something similar to ward off rusting, or just prime it and paint it, or just leave it as is??

What is best for the tank longevity??

Fuel Gauge Telling Lies!

So my fuel gauge is telling fibs, its the most annoying thing
in the world!
It will say a quarter of fuel left,then takes 20 litres an shes
full!
Car is a 73 dart.

Any ideas on how on how to fix this?
Sick of driving around with a jerry can in the car!
I live in aus,hopefully i dont have to get a part
from the states!

Problem with fuel guage— HELP

Recently rewired car with a Painless kit ,fuel guage has not worked since. I thought it was the sender and since we wanted a 3/8 sender any ways We replaced it. I don’t beleive there is any problem with the wiring except for possibly the ground. Any ideas?

do I need a spacer?

I took the car out for a drive to the gym the other day. And when I came out to leave it was flooded. I had to hold the gas pedal down so that it would get some air and then it started.. What happen? and Whats needed to fix?

to inject or not to inject, that is the question

finally it looks like I will be retiring the 225 in my 1964 Dart GT for a small block V-8. I happen to be in the position of chosing from about a dozen possibles from a 273 2bbl through a 360 4bbl. one of the possibles is about a 1989 318 throttle body type fuel injection setup. has anyone used this, what are the advantages and disadvantages, and finally what do I need to make it work? right now I have the intake and the throttle body. I’ll post photos and numbers if anyone willing to help…

Holley Help

I posted a thread on here a while back about having carb trouble. Ended up taking vacation time to work on my ride and the only trouble Im having is my carb is running rich. I have a 451 stroker and had a eled 800 that was rebuilt but ran rich no matter what I did .I adjusted the floats three time even though they were at the correct spec and even less by the time I got sick of it. I bought a new holley street avenger and it does the same thing. I can only stand to be in the garage a few…

where does this vent go

where does the vent coming off the sending unit go? i just pluged it off for now because i didnt remember one being there before. doesnt the tank just vent out the gas cap.
