New Gas tank. what do i need to do?

I just bought a new OEM replacement Fuel tank for my 67 dart. is there any prep work that i need to do to the gas tank? like sealing it or anything like that?

when it came out of the box it was oily. my guess is that since its fresh metal, they oiled it so that it wouldn’t rust. is this correct? it feels sort of like wd-40.

any and all comments/tips are helpful guys. thanks.

73 Dodge Dart Aftermarket Gauge Recommendations

I’ve read a lot of posts and my head is spinning. Could somebody who owns a similar year please tell me what brand gauge you used for Anmeter, Water Temp, Fuel and Oil pressure. Specifically, Fuel. I have a stock sender and want to make sure it works with an aftermarket gauge. I need real world scenarios please. Not sure the stock Ohms? I just recently had my mechanical copper tube oil pressure gauge severe in my engine compartment and spray 1 quart of oil all over my brand new…

Fuel tank gasket help

I’m in the process of getting a 72 Scamp up and running after sitting for eight years in a backyard and I’m in need of a little help. Same old story as usual, bought my first muscle car and things start going wrong faster than I can fix them. Oh well, haha that’s what I get for buying a project car.

There’s rust in my gas tank so I’m cleaning it out and resealing it. Here’s my problem; I can’t find anyone who has new gaskets for the thing. I need the gasket/collar thing the filler neck goes…

buy new or rebuild

just bought a 69 dart custom, 273,3spd auto. the carb looks like it could use a nice cleaning, it starts up fine and sound like its getting enough fuel but im just not getting the right response when i push down on the gas pedal. are there any upgrade 2bbl carbs for this application or would i need to change the intake and go up to 4bbl?

71′ Duster: which line is the fuel line?

Sounds funny, I know, but I’m one fuel line away from this bad boy running! There are two lines that run together on the K member… one is fuel, and the other one is (I assume) a vent or emissions line of some sort… which one do I hook up to the pump? A or B? Originally a slant six car, this is a 71′ Duster …

67 Cuda Fuel Sending Unit

Dumb question but can the fuel sending unit be changed without dropping the fuel tank? It looks like the rear end may be too close, I just didn’t wan to get into a can of worms. I grounded the sending wire and the gauge works fine, I also cleaned up and replaced the ground strap around the fuel line, so it must be the sending unit.

Sending unit safe?
