I wrote the numbers down from my engine, tranny, and axle.
If anyone can fill in the blanks, or correct me, it would be appreciated:
ENGINE
2468130 12 LL
2468130 = 64-71 B 383
12 = the 12th casting from that mold, my understanding is some castings were repaired over time.
LL = ?
1 * 9 * 67 = Block was cast on January 9, 1967.
FRONT PAD
C 383 = 67 383
5 23 = Assembly date of May 23rd.
AXLE
Are there any other numbers on the axle, and what would they indicate?
2070742 = 742 Sure Grip
TRANNY
I only checked the driver side, are there numbers on the other side, and what would they indicate?
C95664 = ?
Z 1 X 12 3 = ?
