Man guys I've been so busy with work that I finally had the opportunity to go underneath my Mom's 78 Chevy Van in order to check out this gas smell she had been telling me about. So I turned the van on, crawled underneath and much to my shock I saw gas dripping onto the exhaust pipe!!!!!!! The leak was coming from three spliced rubber lines connecting the fuel lines from the tank onto the lines from the fuel pump. I repaired them and everything is fine now. However can you imagine my Mom drove the thing for about five miles in that condition!!!!!!!! It could have gone up in flames!!!!!!!!
