on oil filters. i understand what microns are, as well as relief valve and anti drain back and some of the other stuff. then i stumbled onto a site that mentioned beta something or other and my brain melted down. can someone please explain to me the whole thing. i have always used wix/napa filters and was going to order some from the place that crackbacked posted, but then i started reading and hit information overload…..

local guy has an 8.25 from a 70’s a body—-
says it’s a sure grip– but doesn’t know the ratio.
how do you tell the ratio– if no tag is present?
how do you test the sure grip? (hold 1 side & try top spin the other?)
this would use larger shock mounts than a 7.25 would it not?

I’ll take a tape measure to compare with my 7.25 anything else? thanks Lawrence
