Dodge Grand Caravan starter question

So the starter as of late has been either clicking like the battery’s dead,or dragging when it does engage. Methinks being a nippon denso starter it’s probably contacts. I went over the battery connections and they are fine as are the starter ones.

So I bought a contact kit. While I was doing the oil change and air filter on it today I had a look at the starter. It’ seems to be “caged” in by the forward engine mount/brace. The bottom bolts to remove the mount are easy, but Im sure there is one…

worst way to take a starter off

I bought my demon in november and I just started working on it this weekend. I am planing to swap in a v8, but just wanted to see if the old /6 would run. I put a battery in and worke on getting fire to the plugs. I got fire and put a little gas in the carb and after a while of cranking it fired up and ran for about 4 seconds. I put some more gas in the carb and it ran for another 4-5 seconds. Then I out a little mor gas in and it ran for 6-7 seconds and boom! I looked at the starter and it was…

Got a box from Fedex yesterday.

Came home yesterday evening to find a box on my porch. Wasn’t expecting anything, so it was a bit of a surprise.

Opened the box and guess what I found?

A tail panel for a 68 GTS!

The guy that I bought my GTS from was cleaning out his garage and ran across it. Instead of tossing it or selling it, he decided to send it to me since I gave him my contact info when I bought the car.

Really a great, upstanding guy.

Finally got the Rallyes on my Duster

I finally got new tires and put my 15X7 Rallyes on my Duster. The next step is to put the new front bumper on and put my new grille in which I’m painting right now. 🙂
