is it possible to upgrade manual drums to either power or disc brakes?

would it be a big improvement compared to a stock set up?

what would be the approx cost for this conversion?

If converting 71 Duster front drum brakes to 73 disc, does the master cylinder need to be swapped too? Thanks.

What all is involved, seems like a fairly simple swap, what years should i look for? I’m wanting to convert to the LBP, this seems like the easiest & cheapest way.

For the past year or so I’ve had to put up with a “soggy” brake pedal. I have manual front disk brakes on my ’70 Duster (yes they are the Kelsey-Hayes) with pads and shoes in good shape. After replacing a front rubber brake line and bleeding the brakes (which took almost a whole 1-liter bottle of brake fluid) on the front side I fixed as well as both the rears the pedal had firmed up nicely. I am looking for a rebuild kit for a master cyl on my 66 Barracuda with manual drum brakes. I cant find a rebuild kit that includes the return spring with it. None of the complete master cyl have the spring either. Does anyone know of a supplier that includes the spring OR where to get a spring that will work.

what happens if i put skinny drag fronts on my dart, (15X 3.5″, 1.5″ offset) which currently has SSBC front disc brakes, which I know are bigger than this offset?
