I picked up a 4 barrel single snorkle air cleaner from the local pick n pull that came off of a small block Cordoba. I plan to modify this guy to remove the snorkle & shoot it wrinkle black & use it in conjunction with Mopar wrinkle black valve covers as the chrome piece I have on there now just screams "Not a Mopar". However, it seems significantly wider than the stock 2 barrel cleaner that came on my '73 318 (it may be the same since the original 2bbl cleaner is long gone). I'm wondering if the large diameter air cleaner is the only one that was avail for the 4 barrel 318 set up. Furthermore I have a mismatched lid for this guy, it fits fine but the center section is more rounded than angular, which isn't too big of a deal buit would love the correct mopar lid if anyone outhere has one. Here's a couple of pics I took after deleting the snorkle & sanding bare. Does it look too wide? And would it be ridiculous to put a "318 four barrell" decal on the lid?
