273 hi comp pistons L and R

Hi all ive been trying to find some answers regarding these pistons on this forum and either they haven't been discussed or it might have been on a thread a while back and i cannot find it.Well shall i start, why is it on the 273 when using the hi comps factory or after market pistons there is a left bank and a right bank??was it due so the valve cut outs are facing a certain direction or were the pins on one side offset??As ive tried to get this info from my service manual or on the net and there is no information out there explaining the reason behind it.Lets say for arguments sake you purchased a set of pistons after market that is and theres no marker indicating front or left side or right symbols would you fit them as to where the valve reliefs are supposed to be???,as ive heard some old racers use to swap the banks of pistons L to R to get more power due to less drag was this correct?
