Tachometer circuit board repair kits

Just wondering what your experiences are in using the Rach repair kit offerred by RT Engineering

I am restoring my instrument cluster and was considering this upgrade.
Has anyone installed this?

There are aftermarket replacement tachs available as well. Has anyone used one of these and how do they look versus the original tachs?
