46RE, just rebuilt with a new (reman) torque converter. It has a rotating noise that I would describe as halfway between a tick and a light knock. With the truck running, I was underneath trying to locate the origin and I noticed some fore and aft movement of the ring gear (dust cover is off, obviously). I set my dial indicator up to the ring gear, rotated the motor by hand, and found almost .030" runout. Afraid I had a bent flexplate, I checked that also (as well as I could), but the bolt...
