I got a 1979 D100 stepside pick up with a 318 and 727 automatic transmission. Currently I have a b&m quicksilver shifter on the floor. i would like to go back to an original shifter on the steering column. I have a donor truck, 1979 Power Wagon 150. I would like to take out the automatic steering column and install it on my truck. My question is, can I swap the steering column and plug in my truck's wire harness to the donor steering harness? I also have to use the donor's transmission linkage and brackets since mine were eliminated when I installed the b&m shifter. Can this be done with what I got?
