Okay, guys.....this has been bugging me for quite some time! ;)
With all of the people here trying to convert 318/360 2bbl engines to 4bbl carb, does anybody know the answer?
Does the 4bbl Quadrajet manifold from late '80's 318/360 engines used in police/trucks have the proper casting boss to retrofit an earlier (pre '84)Carter Thermoquad electric choke thermostat? :confused:
I have been told on numerous occasions that the choke will not fit the manifold, but I have never tried it! It looks like it will just drop right in, and all you would have to do is drill and tap a hole for the mounting bolt! It seems to me that Chrysler would not have changed the manifold casting for an engine that they were going to drop in '89, but merely change the carb to a Rochester with electric choke. :confused:
