Just back form the garage where I spent a few hours working on the stock exhaust manifolds and dual exhaust pipes.As a 40 year old car,the manifolds and exhaust have some rust.
My goal today was to see how much and what I could gain by using rust converter. As it happens, I had a full pint of Plasticoat rust converter.I found a clean paint brush and went to brushing it onto my manifolds.
It goes on milky and i put it on generously.I went back over everything a few times and what a hugh change it made. The product did a great job.Infact. I had purchased Eastwood gray maifold paint but I dont need or want to use it now. The manifolds are looking great. Even my exhaust system will be saved due to the rust converter.
Its a little hard working on my back under the car but it was well worth it . I highly recommend Pasticoat rust converter or a similar product.Try some before you go painting your manifolds.
