As many of you know, I've been cleaning up my '68 Fury III fast top for a couple months now after almost 20 years in a barn. I thought I had cleared out the mouse crap and nest material and it was looking pretty nice, but the interior still smelled like the end of the world. Well, I found some tips on FBBO about popping out Mopar back seats (kneel on it, shove down and back at the same time) and holy sh!t, look what I found...
Note the mummified/skeletal guy who fell out on the carpet.
So I did my best to quickly clean it up with a shop vac and some nice-smelling soap and then drive it around without the seat to make sure it was dry...
(Note: the tape is to keep the seat belt straps up and out of the way as I pop the seat back in; it's very weak tape that didn't leave a mark on the vinyl.)
Back in business and finally smelling just rubber and oil and gas and upholstery and old plastic!
Cold start below... Commando1, aren't you a fan of the ol' glasspacks? These are true vintage ones... :)
