i took the slap stik console shifter linkage and all that out of my 72 Charger with hopes of puttin it in my 73 Dart. i got it all welded up. and i may have done a lil miscalculating. i had the metal console welded in while the shifter sed it was in park with the linkage on the trans all the way towards the bell housing. is park all the way back on a 727. cuz when i try to go into drive i cant move it past reverse. and the linkage is all the way up front. if i adjust it so that 1st gear is all the way up front and park is in the back. is that how a normal 727 is.. im confused.
