Bought a ’74 Duster and trying to finish the body work

Hey guys! I bought a ’74 Plymouth Duster from someone who had started the body work but had something else come up and had to quit and sell it. I just sprayed a coat of Nason brand 2K Urethane sealer on it… frankly I have lots of questions so I figured I would stop by here and give you guys fair warning!

71 Duster 340

The body is really straight except the pass side quarter. It has some dents. I can get a nice, rust free replacement for $250. The car has manual steering, manual drum brakes, no a/c, auto on the column, complete rallye dash,…

So, this has been a total pain since it’s a 67 (904) transmission….should have thrown it away but hey it’s the original one from the car. I’ll probably throw away that 273 but that’s another story.

I’m almost done here….I got a rebuild kit without frictions/steels, bushing kit, thrust washer kit, TF-2, and some other goodies.

The two clutch packs are complete. The front pack where I did 5 thin frictions instead of 4 standard…after soaking them all in ATF fluid, the clearance seems…

7 1/4 rear

Have a 7 1/4 rear axle that has only 46000 miles on it. Still has the Canada drums on it. $100. Will take to Carlisle Chrysler Nationlas. In Pa.

73 duster, forged 5.7 w/ PS and AC, 5 spd, big brakes and floater rear

Figured I need to start posting up pics and updates for all to see. I’ve also got some of this in the Hemi forum, but I’ll keep that more specific to Hemi stuff, and this will contain everything I’m doing. 76orangewagon suggested I get a post going in the member restorations, so here it is!
