It has been tough sledding here for a couple of months. Two months ago my step-father died after a long illness. Wednesday night my step-mother died after battling lung cancer for 2 years. Although we all new it was terminal, nobody expected it this quick. Last week she was walking around the yard. My father is taking it very hard and I am now worried about him. All we can do is be there and be supportive. My plan is to get him busy doing things where he will feel like he is contributing to somebodies life. I can't imagine how lonely he will be without her.
