Started out this morning on a drive up to my bodymans (actually just my friend who painted my firewall), on my way home with a load of Fury bits I spotted a '69 Newport sedan in a guys backyard..........
So what did I do, spin the Cheyenne around and stop in, guy was really nice and a car guy.
We get talking about it, he saved it from scrap, literally, he stopped the guy at the gate to the yard and bought it off the guys trailer, body is shot but the 383 turns over freely, and the interior is mint, nor cracks in the dash pad, headliner is perfect. it sat in a barn since '85
so he asks what I have, "Oh a '69 Fury, I have one behind the garage"
Sure enough under a tarp behind his garage sits a '69 III Sedan, couldn't believe my eyes
he plans to move in the spring and I left my name and phone number, he said he'll give me a call and if he has the newport $500 buys it and $300-$400 buys the Fury
one of those days.
Yes the Newport is a No option car, not even a radio! How cool is that?
