Ice Cold Beer

Yesterday I picked up cable seperator from the dealership, fixed the cruise control on the Jeep, went to the alignment shop and found out my left upper and lower ball joints were toasted. Crap. Went to the parts store, picked BJ's and a press, got home and worked on that until 10:00 pm due to the previuos owners tendency to strip caliper bolts (had to heli-coil the steering knuckle) and AutoZone ball joint nuts that strip out before the 100 ft. lb. mark. I used the old nuts and they worked fine. Never again will I buy suspension parts from AZ. I knew I should have contacted Motopsycho and got Moog parts. Duralast is Duracrap.

I finished up the ball joints this morning, installed new wiper blades (mine were trashed), recharged the A/C and installed a new fuel filter. Went on a test ride and steering weirdness after hitting a bump is now gone and it feels like a new Jeep. The control arm bushings I installed earlier this year got rid of the high speed wallow on long curves.

Ahhh... I'm planting my butt in the garage/office chair having an ice cold St. Pauli Girl beer and liking life. Maybe I'll even wash the POS.

BTW, the small nipple on the rear window for washer fluid broke off and I now have the perfect tailgater solution, lol. :toothy10: I get a good 10' at a stop and imagine it will be extended at speed:
