We took Stubby in to a different vet for a second opinion this morning. He has some kind of blood born parasites that comes from fleas. Doctor said the last vet just missed it. He said he did not understand how, since Stubby's white blood cell count is over 3000, which indicates his body is fighting something off.
At any rate, he gave Stubby a steroid shot to help him feel better and get some appetite back and some other meds for the blood varmints. Says he should make a complete recovery, although due to his age it may take a little time. Looks like prayers paid off. Keep him in your prayers that he makes a recovery because he is still mighty weak. Maybe he has some years left in him yet. Thanks yall.
