After the fiasco last week it pleases me greatly to tell you all about these two gents..
When I bought my a727 and 8 3/4t they weren't exactly as advertised. The kids and I had changed out the beings in the axles but things didn't feel right to us so when we took our transmission to put a couple kits into it we decide to take the rear end out as well...we were fully prepared to rebuild the tranny..even bought the book but we could not rent not borrow a couple of necessary tools to do it...and I know when it is time to not to push through anyway..
The gent I am talking about is Rick Roode (hope I spelled his name right). He has a tranny shop about 25 minutes fror me...he has an excellent reputation...he services a bunch of cars and we even looked at a chebby that lives over 3 hours drive..incredibly friendly and all the staff remembers you name. Any way, the nest in my 8 3/4 was absolutely toast..he tried to find me a replacement for over a week w/o any joy so he dug into his stash of MOPAR pars and installed it at a "wow" that is a great price unit ..btw, he has an awesome 'cuda..
I had a visit from Matt Henry w/girl friend Nola yesterday..he is also a FABO member ...he has a Diplomat (3i8) and a numbers matching duster 340..we chated for a couple of hours and have plans for more visits..he lives in Halifax and only an hour drive from my house..
