I got a new fuel sender delivered on Friday but had a some trouble getting it installed.
1. Does the gasket go behind the lock ring, or behind the sender against the tank. (The old one didn't have a gasket)
2. I can't seem to line up the sender tabs with the two tabs on the fuel tank opening. The bottom one goes in, but the top tab is either too wide or not quite in the same spot as factory.
I was thinking about bending the top one down so it clears. Will this affect anything?
