I thought that might get your attention. I haven't posted in a while, just busy with other things. I wanted to share my good fortune with you guys. I was at a friend's house a couple of weeks ago unloading his car from the trailer when one of his neighbors swung by to chat. It seems the neighbor had bought a new bigger motor and trans for his 35 Plymouth street rod and he wanted to tell us about it. Since I knew the "old" motor was a strong 318 I immediately asked him what he was doing with it since I have a car in my garage that needs a motor. (I have two disassembled motors but both will need large cash injections to make them viable). Anyway, he says, "Giving it to you!" I didn't really believe him so I asked again and he says, "yeah, it runs great, I just need to keep the valve covers if that's ok?" I am still in shock but as of last Friday night that motor is sitting in my garage. It is complete from pan to billet air cleaner, just needs a water pump and my choice of headers, plus a little elbow grease. The distributor has a brand new Pertronix ignition and I got the wires, pulleys and linkages too! Oh yeah...and a 904 transmission. Here's a couple pics with my valve covers on it.
