Ford f150 ad

Too bad we cannot reply to that thread !
I drove a New F250 for the company I worked for in Ft Mc oilsands
What a Joke
6 major problems in 3 months / 18,000 miles
1]The trans quit shifting into 3rd so it would shift 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2 - 4
2]Transfer case quit shifting into 4wd a small wrench was displayed on the dash .... no worky ! I drove into a valley on ice roads & could not get out either side in 2wd , I was 6 hrs from civilization & could have been there for a day or 2 before anyone found me , fortunatly after numerous attempts I got out the side I came in from & i had to drive 3 extra hours around to get where I was going to !
3] Defrost quit clearing the windsheild, it was ok for 3 weeks then bang 1/4" of frost on the inside of the windsheild every morning , you had to scrape the inside while driving & would not clear the frost for hours afterwards , this put me into the ditch the first time driving on a 2 lane highway & lost visibility instantly , gently nursed the truck to the side of the road so I would not hit oncoming traffic , the ditch pulled me in & 4 wd was usless to get me out , stuck for 4 hrs .
4] the power steering quit , , it was intermittent for a while so you never knew when the steering would lock or unlock so I ended up in the ditch 3 more times when the steering would lock going in or out of a corner . Eventually it quit entirely !
5] the truck would optomistically tell you you could go 600 kms on 130 lt tank of fuel but after 100 km it would drop to 400 km , 100 more & it was less than 200km to empty , it never went more than 250 km on 130 lts so about 5.3 MPG , I was in constant danger of running out of fuel . The company had 4 of the same truck all averaged the same milage
6] the radio was intermittent so it was on for 10 seconds & off for 3 not a big deal until you are living in the truck 18 hrs / day !! All 4 company trucks did this also & when I took it to Furd they told me that they had never heard of the problem LOL
Back to Cummins Rams for me
