I know this has been beat to death, it just seems I can't find the right threads. Is there a surefire way to id an 833 tranny that will fit in soon-to-be-mine cuda. Its a 68 Formula 340 S. I really don't want 6 transmissions in order to det one that fits. I will be getting everything pretty much new behind it. New shaft, u-joints, rear. Everything. Just need a push in the right direction. I know that I need a small block bell housing, and the clutch and flywheel. I'm just not sure what 833 will fit to that housing and have the shifter in the correct position to come through the existing hole. Thanks so much in advance!!!
