Comp stainless rocker questions…(LA type)

Just got my mits on a set of Comp Stainless rockers for my buddy's bracket motor and have some questions, as I've never used these rockers before:

1) I have 9 rockers with a number 2 on them and 7 with the number 1. My question here is, "What the heck..."

2) The adjuster is for a ball/ball pushrod (don't like that) but what I wondering is: Based on 3/8 pushrods just barely seating in the adjuster, (to the point of actually riding on the machined beveled edge and not seated fully in the cup) are these designed for a 5/16 pushrod? I surely hope not. All roller or iron rockers I have ever had have been for a cup/ball pushrod, so maybe I just don't know what I'm looking at...is the rocker end of a 3/8 pushrod different on a cup/cup pushrod??? I have read the BB version of these rockers come with an adjuster for a ball/ball...but the small blocks???

3) The adjuster is drilled vertical from the bottom and the hole intersects with a hole drilled sideways. The adjuster is machined smooth in the middle of the threads to facilitate that hole. My question here is also, "What the heck..." I thought LA motors don't pushrod oil, or (again) do I not know what I'm looking at?? ***WAIT! I see the hole in the rocker for rocker oiling...but through the pushrod?? On a LA motor????

If these are dumb questions, don't tell me that...LOL...but your help is much appreciated!
