hey, I need to get a replacement carb for my 318, and I want to stay with the 2bbl, keeping it stock. Any recommendations for new/rebuilt/rebuild kits and suppliers would be a great help.

I have found a bunch of numbers on this carb but none indicating what model it is. Here are 5 pictures of it.

It looks like someone wired shut the choke in picture 2 or diddled it some way. The last owner said that all we needed was a seal kit since it has sat for a bunch of years …can I rebuild this or do I need to send it to holley ? Am I missing anything ? I do know he took it off his chevy rod.

I need your folks opinion on this. I have prebent fuel line (3/8’s) that is not bent correctly rather than send it back (cost just as much to send back as i paid for it :(. I was thinking of running it back as far as i could (before it starts going way off) and then cut it off and run rubber fuel hose to the tank. It would probably be cut off somewhere between the rear tire and tank. Is there a strong rubber line that would work? My concern is the 1 in a million chance that something kicks up…

What would the reason be for this. I used to have a edelbrock 500cfm carb. I run a clear glass fuel filter. The filter would always be full of gas after driving. Even for more than a day gas would remain in the filter. Now I have a 600cfm edelbrock. After a drive when I pop the hood most of the fuel has drained out of the filter. After more time it’s completely empty. What gives? Does it have to do with the carburetor?

I have a new gas tank for my 64 Barracuda. Ni-Terne plated, whatever that is(guessing a kind of galvanizing???)

Now my question. The underside of the car is coated in what appears to be the same black stuff that my son’s spray in bed liner consists of.

Should I coat the gas tank in something similar to ward off rusting, or just prime it and paint it, or just leave it as is??

What is best for the tank longevity??

So my fuel gauge is telling fibs, its the most annoying thing
in the world!
It will say a quarter of fuel left,then takes 20 litres an shes
full!
Car is a 73 dart.

Any ideas on how on how to fix this?
Sick of driving around with a jerry can in the car!
I live in aus,hopefully i dont have to get a part
from the states!
