I have a question for the knows of everyone here. I am building a car for my wife to run at our local track. 1974 Dart Swinger, it will start out with a mild 318/727 combo 8-384 with 4:10’s. This will let her have some seat time and get used to the car and the routine. Later, after a year or so I will step it up for her so she can go faster hopefully mid to high 10’s. The 318 in my Duster is one that I pulled out of a 1984 Ram truck.I’ve been getting everything sorted out, but theres something that I do not know the function of:

Back on the right rear of the intake, there is a small electrical device with a couple of terminals, and adjacent to that appears to be a small ballast resistor.

I’m still learning my way around V8 Mopars after having only \6’s in everything else so I would appreciate it if someone could share what this is.

Anyone know where I can get the accessory relay for a 71 Duster? I’m sure I can wire in any 12volt relay. But I would like to make it correct if possible. Using the correct wiring harness and connectors. From the schematic it appears to be a 3 pin.

im buying from jegs 2morro, what do you guys rec for valve springs and valve seats…im gonna go the double spring(not the hard core double spring) comp cams? crane? let me know any insight…thanks
