when narrowing a dana 60 truck housing, is there an advantage/disadvantage, to using the dana standard offset or making the axles housing tubes equal length? I think the std offset is 1 3/16 inch. TIA.

Hemi Rocker Hold Down Question

Need to remove hemi rocker stands an engine currently being rebuilt. Is it ok to just remove the stands and retorque these studs or should all head studs be loosened and retorqued?

Background:
1984 D250 with 318, NP 4 speed, 3:7 gears in Dana. 4300 pounds, 60k original miles.

Goal:
Maximize low speed engine torque for tow. Not exceeding 4300 rpm. Keeping fuel system.
