My 67 Barracuda was originally 4 drum 10″ manual brakes. I installed front disc brakes from a 73 Dart and 10″X2.5″ rear drums on my new 8 3/4 rear end. I thought I could use the pushrod from my old master cylinder, but the pushrod is some sort of assembly with springs and seals etc. (see pic).

Can the pushrod be removed from this assembly and used? If not, what do I need to get? Can I use one from a power brake MC from a 73+ A-body, or does it have to be from a manual brake car?

For those of you running the pin-type calipers on their cars, what brand and type of brake pads are you using?

I can get the calipers easy enough at Napa, but my pad selection seems limited to semi-metallics or organics for the 11.75 setup pin calipers. I was hoping to go ceramic……

Hello i want to swap my manual to pwr brakes on my 68 dart,

I have a booster and brackets, the only thing i do not have is the MC and the brake pedal rod..

is the rod the same on the man and disc?

if not where can i get one new or used..

should i use a 68 disc MC or a later model?

so my brakes went out yesterday and we found a leak it was the wheel cylander so i replaced it this morning and took the car around the block there was tons of air in the lines took like 6 pumps to make them solid and my dad said i need to bleed the brakes but those things are on there tighyt vicegrips wont lock on it and my dad said i have to be careful with them if they brake i get to get a new wheel cylander is there a way thats good to get these loose and what size is it?

Does anyone know if the 10″ brakes with the small bolt pattern are all the same? I have a set of’ finned style — that are small bolt — will these fit on earlier cars 10″spindles– I don’t have bearings for the hubs– thanks Lawrence
