I need suggestions on converting my front drum breaks to disk breaks. What would be a good place to order them from? What pitfalls can you guys warn me of?

I have looked for post on this, but I have been unlucky…

i was wondering if anyone else has gotten this conversion and if i would need to do anything special to install them, im using my 65 barracuda as almost a daily driver and want to know if this is a good deal.

I hope someone out there can help me, I have a ’73 dart swinger with a slant 6 225, it has front drum brakes, I recently bought new drums for the front but I’m having trouble pulling out the hub/lug stud assembly from the old drum to put in the new one, I guess I can always take them to a machine shop but was hoping some of you might have an idea for me!

I just did a swap from small bolt pattern to large all the way around on my car. The rear axels I got from Dr Diff. The Backing plates are from my old 69 Dodge D100 the rear is a 8 3/4 the brakes are 11″x2″. I bought the drums from autozone. Well while my car was still on the jack stands and the wheels on I put it in gear and nothing. I gave it some gas and it took alot the wheels satrted to spin but acted like there was a lot of resistance. Took the wheels off and looked at everything cant…

first off if the proportioning valve is stuck wouldent i still be able to get a firm pedal?

second off where can i even get a new one?

and lastly add any info you would like to further edumacate me on proportioning valves.

Ok so i’ve been doing a /6 to v8 swap, 10″ brakes front and rear, i need to replace my brake lines and am going to buy them from inlinetube. now my question is i plan on upgrading to disc brakes front and most likely rear, will i have to redo everything i’m replacing now? or will it all be the same for disc, i know the master cylinder has to be swapped but didn’t know if i had to change any of the hard lines or the distribution block? And on the topic of the distribution block how do you know…

what is the purpose of the wire coming from the proportioning valve that goes into the wiring harness on the front brakes?

I have drum brakes all the way around..
can’t figure out what purpose that wire would serve..
