Replacing or rebuilding a Federal PS pump.
I have a Federal pump on my ’69 NY (original 440 with only 60K) which is slowly crapping out. It’s leaking slightly from the seal behind the pulley, and the shaft has some end play (very little, but you can hear it even with the belt still on). The leak is minor now, but I’m sure it will get worse.
There are rebuild kits, but should I replace it or rebuild it? Are there reliable sources for new/rebuilt pumps? Also….how does it come apart?
Is this an OK way to reinforce a front sub-frame?

Which Wheel Covers Are Correct?
– Currently has 15×5.5″ black steel wheels and Dodge “redline” aluminum poverty caps.
– Broadcast Sheet is correct for the car; “H SERIES 1972”; Build date 4/14/71 (414 = first 3 digits of V.O.N.; “CANADIAN SPEC” at the bottom.
– I verified some codes (in bold) using the ’69 – ’74 Mopar Broadcast Sheet book by Jake Hare.
– The codes I can’t verify are in italics and underlined.
– Line 4 “Wheels”: “Road” = 57 (15×5.5 painted C-body)…
