Tim McVeigh use 2.5 tons of Ammonium Nitrate and fuel oil to destroy 1/3 of the Murrah Federal Building, a huge blast that took half the building down. The amount of ANFO that blew up the port of Beirut? 2750 tons...or 5.5 million lbs! That's about the equivalent of a 1.8KT tactical nuke. Why would someone store that much ANFO from a Soviet ship in a warehouse for 6 years...and what was it going to be used for? I believe the stuff was impounded from the Russian ship so it may not have had...
