Paint overspray cleanup?

Hello,
I restoring the honeycomb grill section on my 1970 Challenger. Unfortunately the previous owner attempted some paint work and managed to mist/coat the honeycomb section with a mixture of primer and paint. I’m looking for advice on how to easily remove this overspray. Would I need to remove the rivets, remove the honeycomb section and dip it? Or, is there a spray available (like Goof-Off) to loosen the paint. If I used the spray method, I would then have to carefully remove…

Wiper Motor Question?

Hello,
I plan on sending out my tired two speed wiper motor in my 70 Challenger for a rebuild. While this is out, I found a working two speed wiper motor from a 74 Cuda for a reasonable price. Question, will the 74 Cuda wiper motor fit my 70 Cha…

Brake line positioning?

Hello,
I will be purchasing a complete set of steel brake lines for my 71 Challenger in the near future. I will also be installing factory front disc brakes placing the calipers towards the front. There have been questions on this and other forums regarding positioning the front steel brake lines either over of under the front frame rails. Because I’m doing the disc brake conversion (using factory Mopar parts), what is recommended for steel line positioning? I assume this has…

1971 Challenger grill paint?

Hello,
I am in the process of restoring a 1971 Challenger grill. The grill has the light silver rough argent paint due to it being a RH model. I like the look of the dark / black paint used on the R/T models. I can’t remember if the R/T grill paint had a smooth paint texture or was a dark / black argent rough finish? If it is a rough dark / black argent finish, where can I buy this paint in rattle cans? I check out Herbs and Roseville Moparts, They are either out of stock or not…

B to E body disc brake swap

Hello,
I have a 1971 Dodge Challenger that has front drum brakes. I have available a 1973 Dodge Charger (B-Body) that has front disk brakes. I want to swap out the front drum brakes and install the disc brakes/spindles etc. Any issues doing this? I don’t believe there is but I want to double check on this forum. Years ago I read an article from Moparts that had charts on what suspension parts/brake parts interchange between B and E body based on the VIN#. Anyone have this chart or…

Front Bumper Torque Specs

Hello,
I am looking for the correct torque specs for a front bumper on a 70 Challenger. I would like the bumper bracket to frame rail torque specs as well as the bumper to bracket torque specs. I looked thru my shop manual, but didn’t see a torque specification page for this area of the car. Is there another manual (hardware manual) that is available for E-bodies that would list all of the torque specs?

Thanks for your help,
