B-Body (1966) manual box swap for a power steering box?

Anyone interested? I’m converting from manual to power brakes.

I was planning on keeping the drum rear brakes…

On my 1966 Coronet but every spring disintegrated when I disassemble to pull the axles. Are their good overhaul kits to be had (complete)?

Rear end suspension mysteries

The shop dropped the rear end, leaf springs and shock plates out of my 66 Coronet post car yesterday. These shock plates are obviously hand made – they almost look like an early attempt at traction bars, see pics.

Front end mysteries

The shop dropped the front end, K-member and the complete front suspension out of my 66 Coronet post car yesterday. I think we’ve figured out that it is an old police car – it has mounts for dual antennas in the rear by the rear window and deck lid, both sides.

Anyway…

  • this thing has a massive front sway bar, 1.125″ – it’s larger than the 0.93″ 68 Charger R/T sway bar I have here and was going to use.
  • It also has disc brakes, either 10.75 “or 11” – pretty sure they are 11″…

Front end mysteries

1966 dodge coronet HP383 was orange?

Or is turquoise the right color?

Thanks, snook
