I need your help with my vacuum tap (and my manifold studs, too).
Mopar Guys/Gals: I could use your advice on my 1974 Duster’s intake manifold power brake booster vacuum tap. The first photo is of the existing tap in the intake manifold of my slant six. Like many things on my motor, it had been changed out with an incorrect part years ago. My engine should have the single tap with no nipples coming off it since it is a non-a/c car. The second photo is the correct tap that I’m installing on my engine. The diameter is 11/16″ with either NPT or fine threads…

Should I be greasing my U joints?
Mopar Family: I should probably know this by now, so forgive me for asking. I just noticed that both ends of the drive shaft in my 1974 Duster (225 auto) have Zerk fittings on the universal joints. Looks like each universal joint has two of these grease fittings. I can also see how grease has been flung out from the U joints and has collected on the underside of the car next to the joints. I cannot find anywhere in either my factory shop manual, or my owner’s manual, where it says to grease…
How can I make my slant six exhaust manifold look great?
Hi All: I’ll soon be pulling and painting the slant six motor in my 1974 Duster. The car has its original stock exhaust manifold. Its sound, but looks pretty rusty and cruddy. A number of years back I has the manifolds from the 440 in my 69 Charger ceramic coated (I think). Whatever it was that they did, it still looks absolutely perfect today, 25 years later. I want to do this to my Duster’s manifold. What’s the best process to keep that perfect tan/machine gray look that won’t come off or…
