74 Duster correct rubber fuel line inside diameter?

Does anyone know what the correct size (inside diameter) rubber fuel line is for my slant six 1974 Duster? I’m replacing the short segment in the engine compartment that connects the steel gas supply line (from the gas tank) to the inlet port of the fuel pump. This segment is about 8 inches long and is secured at either end with Keystone crimp clamps. I looked but can’t find this info in my FSM. Thanks!

Why can’t I clean my PCV valve?

Guys/Gals: My PCV valve is dirty and I’d like to clean it inside and out. The factory owners manual (see excerpt below) says that you should never try to clean a PCV valve, but just install a new one instead. My old PCV valve is date coded and probably the original one that came with the car, so I’d like to keep it. Does anyone know why I shouldn’t clean – perhaps by soaking it in a solvent (gas, paint thinner, etc.) then finishing the cleanout with soap and water – and reinstall my valve?…

Two horn conversion question.

Does anyone have two horns in their A body vehicle? My 1974 Duster only has one and I’d like to convert it to a two horn (high and low tone) system like I have in my 1969 Charger. Has anyone ever done this? I know that I’d have to get another horn and bracket. Would I need a different horn relay? Is the existing horn switch in the steering wheel hub up to the task? Is there a lot of additional wiring involved, or is it a simple plug and play with junkyard parts from a two horn car? Any and…

Can you top my 8-Track collection?

MOPAR Friends: My 1969 Charger came from the factory with the code R22 AM/8-Track radio (see photos). And yes, it’s one of the few factory 8-track players that still work. Naturally, I wanted a diverse selection of music to play, so I’ve been collectin…

Does anyone remember these?

Mopar Guys/Gals: I was going through my garage cabinets yesterday and found these old school cardboard and metal cans of motor oil. I remember my dad pulling into the Standard Oil gas station in my neighborhood growing up and seeing these cans stacked there. The attendant would actually open up the hood of our ’67 Fury wagon once he stuck the fuel hose in (the photo below is the same Fury wagon with me loading my little sister in the rear seat and mom climbing into the driver’s seat). He’d…

Should I have a bulge?

Gentlemen: Do you have a bulge? I just noticed mine for the first time today, and I’m not sure that I should have one. I have a 1974 Duster with a replacement 1974 225 slant six engine. Its not the original engine that my car was manufactured with, but it is a correct 1974 replacement engine. I just noticed that my oil pan has a bulge in the driver’s side just forward of the drain bolt (see photos). I’ve never noticed this on any of the other 225 motors that I’ve owned. Is this bulge…

Bob’s Component Resto, Part 29: Upgraded Master Cylinder

Good evening A body faithful. Thirsty for another sleep inducing chapter in our component restoration journey? Well, you’re in luck tonight because I’ve got just the ticket for you. This one is a bit different however, as this project is an upgrade instead of a component restoration – so here we go. My 1974 Gold Duster came from the factory with the B41 power disc brake option. With the lightweight slant six up front, this is an excellent braking setup for my car. As we all know however,…
