Well, here they are. Virgin castings taken off in 70’s and never been sandblasted, just some homemade exhaust paint. Car was to of had less than 60,000 miles when there were pulled off for fenderwell headers. No cracks and even has original paint on the bottom flap.

Can this be repaired?

I managed to crack the block on my 360 trying to remove the factory fitted upper oil galley plug (the idea being to install fittings directly into the block and do away with the factory oil line adaptor plate). The plug was in there so tight that burred the square allen head on the plug and eventually had to drill it and try an easy out, but the block cracked before it would move!

Could the cracked area be repaired by welding?

Or if not I’m thinking that perhaps I would grind the cracked area…

Please don’t shoot me

I bought another project. It is a 1980 monza coupe. I plan on swapping in a small block. Does anyone know of a great website like FABO for monzas? Thanks….Dean

remove heat?? yes or no opinions

im debating whether to remove my heat or not and wanted your opinions. the car is getting restored and once done will likely never see bad weather. i have already removed the a/c, and since the heat in my car works like crap anyway, i was thinking of ditching all of it. any reasons for or against this? im in the midwest, and it does get cold, but my cars unlikely to ever see it.

thanks for the advice
