Anyone into Tractors?

When I was a kid we always had a tractor to mow fields, plow the garden, whatever. I learned on a 1947 Farmall H, and when we got some more land my dad bought a 706. My dream is to one day have a kick ass 560 Diesel sitting next to my mopar, both fully restored of course. If anyone want to kill some time dreaming like I do, check this site out…

The big 1000!

Well, it appears as though I have just hit my 1000th post. Just think of how my car would look if I had spent the time posting on the car instead! Oh well, sometimes I have just as much fun lurking around here. Thanks for the great forum and all the help I’ve received so far.

Welding Helmets

Could someone please give me a quick primer on what to look for when buying a welding helmet. i will be using an SP170T Lincoln Mig if that matters. I’m just not sure what darkening time and shade I should look for. THanks for any help! I found this one a little while ago, dont know if it would work all right or not.

My New Toy!!

Well I picked it up this morning. SP 170T Lincoln Mig. I traded my old co-worker a Takamine G Series Acoustic/Electric and $125 cash for it. I cant wait to get some 220 wired into my garage, get a tank of gas and get to work burning some metal!

Which Stroker Pistons?

All right guys. I’m getting a little closer to buying some pistons for the 408. I will be running a cast Eagle (4 inch) crank, stock rods, and magnum heads. I havent CC’d them yet to determine exact chamber size but will soon. What piston are you guys running and what kind of compression? I would like to have something that will go in without any machining on the pistons or the deck. Thanks for the help!
