Air cleaner hits hood and wont shut

I have a 440 in my 71 dart have a 3/4 inch carb spacer using the mopar performance air cleaner.when shut the hood air cleaner hood and doesn't shut. I need the two inch spacer if not the fuel line on carb hits my intake.running a demon carb.
