One of the first things many people do to their classic car is to add a tachometer.
I've seen many styles and many different mounting locations for tachometers, and I've decided I want one for my 1974 Dart.
I'm new to the tach game, however, so I've got a couple of (probably easy) questions:
What exactly do I need to look for in a tach for my 74 Dart?
I know its got electronic ignition, so I don't know if that complicates things.
I know there are a lot of different tachs out there, but I don't know which is right for me.
What do I need to wire the wires of the tachometer into?
I've got a lot of automotive wiring experience, but I've never wired up a tach.
Whats the easiest way to do so?
Where should I mount it?
I know this is a personal preference kind of thing, but I'm interested in seeing all of your creative mounting methods if you've got pictures.
Thanks for your help!
