70 Challenger project

Very early (8-26-1969) Challenger, originally equipped with a 318 and console automatic, air conditioning, AM radio, dual chrome mirrors, fender mounted turn indicators, power steering and a Challenger molding group that included the SE rear tail molding. K5 burnt orange with a burnt orange interior, white vinyl top and white side accent stripes, this was a basic car from the start. Now its a relatively solid roller with rust free fenders and very solid floors. The quarters have been patched a few years ago, and it will only need a trunk floor and one extension to be a good platform to build from. Still has the front drum brakes with factory sway bar, steering box has been changed to a manual, and has an 8.25 rear end. May require A pillar and top of windshield channel work. Comes with the original front buckets, rear seat, steering column burnt orange console. There is no under dash heater box or dash pad. Its wearing a full set of 14" rallyes with 70 center caps.
This car was planned to be a drag car a couple owners ago, and was stripped down to the point it is now. Subframe connectors are the most that was done to it in preparation for the track, and would certainly be a help for a street car. If you have a badly rusted car that needs re-bodied, or just want to build one the way you want it, this would be a good candidate for either.
Clear Kansas title, and will roll freely onto a trailer. Car is located in Burlinigton Ks 66839. More detailed pics of the car at http://themopardude.com/70-challenger-project.html or call 620-364-8200 for more details.
