Hey!!!
This is a great year.. My friend Brett has had his 68 Barracuda for going on 20 years now. And for years has been building it up as a mean street/Road race machine. His dream has always been to take it on the track. Last year our Friend Eric and I went to the Spring Fling Speed Festival. It was awesome! I met Some great people and saw some amazing cars tear up Willow Springs racetrack. Eric had his 70 Challenger with him and even though we were just watching that day the we were able to take the car out for a "slow speed" run around the track. We were sold. And Brett was Pissed! I picked up my car about six years ago. And Eric's was even newer. Brett had been working on his since the 80s! Well we told Brett there is always next year. And barely took him seriously. But he is going to do it. He has planned one hell of a trip. Hes picking up his car at Ken Montgomery's shop In philly ( yes the triple nickel guy) where he had some work done for the last few years.Then driving it to Auto rust tech to get the subframe stiffend. Then heading out All the way to Los Angeles to hit the whole Spring fling event..
He has done lots of road trips. I told him he should blog the trip on here. Hes planing on taking the southern route. And is hoping to hit as many things as he can on the way.
If anyone has any advice or Ideas we would love to hear them.
