I'm brand new to mopars but always wanted one. I picked up a nice 71 Demon a little while ago. It has a rebuilt stock 318 2 barrel 85 roller block from what the previous owner told me. The engine casting is 432383031814. While I cant find any exact data showing that its a roller block I think it is by the number.
Anyways I love the car but its a bit gutless. So my plan is to put a 600cfm 4 barrel carb and edelbrock performer intake. So my main question is what cam to run? With this block being a roller block can any LA roller cams work in it? Or does the roller block LA need a different cam. I was thinking of using a cam with around 250 duration and .450 lift. Without having any mopar experience is that a good range for a nice street motor? I appreciate any info thanks guys.
