318 heads worked for 340?

Yeah, it is a little strange. The heads on it don't have hardened valves stock and it looks like the guides might be bad. But the '77 318's heads aren't. So wondering if I might could homeport them enough with 2.02/1.60 swirls to run them on a 340. Being that I'm removing them and am in possession of them if I could do things to them for it then that would be good. Leaving intake ports stock. (because it is quite likely it will just run one of the Performers in possession) It's a street car so HP lost in favor of torque isn't a problem. Would the porting alone bring the chambers down enough to run without worrying about detonation? (it has some issues with the pistons and heads it has) The motor is awaiting a rebuild. I'd only go with 2.02s vs 1.88s since replacing the 1.78s should be necessary anyway. Probably will run some kinda mild cam.
