My friend has asked me to sell his 1971 Dodge Challenger for him.
1971 Dodge Challenger that has had bunch of work done for summer cruising and needs a new home since new projects need to be worked on. Attached are over 120 pictures of the car with multiple angels to show how nice it is and full discription of the car and condition.

BODY: The body is straight and needs very little attention. Paint is an older red applied probably about 15 years ago. Choice front fenders are clean as are the doors, roof looks good with a minor ding above driverside windshield. Rear window panel looks like it has some filler, but not much. Trunklid is rustfree and has been drilled for rear wing. Rear wing was removed, but he still has it & comes with car. Quarter panels are straight and have a minimal amount of rust starting to show on the very lower edge. The rust is soo minut, you won't need whole patch panels to fix, just some pieces filled. The chassie looks to have never been in an accident and has been stored away most of it's life. The trunk has some surface rust that was coated, but that's about it. No rust on inner fenders, cowl, frame rails, floorpans, rockers, wheelwells, roof or other spots unless mentioned. Trunklid is missing a trunk bar to keep it up, but those can be found at swapmeets. Front and rear bumpers are nice and good looking for their age. Hood has hood pins and painted glossy black for a nice contrast. Window trim is nice as is all of the glass. New front windshield was just installed and rear window was resealed. Taillights are in excellent condition and have all pieces of the rear trim. Custom plates do not go with the car. Marker light bezel are in good condition and front grill is mint. Headlight bezels were painted to look more presentable. All new rubber seals and window felts were added and also has new trunkseal in trunk that will need to be installed. Front valance is nice and the rear isn't too bad as it has a few dings in it, very nice for a driver. Door handles are good and not broken like most out there. All vin numbers on the fender tag, door, cowl and dashpad match. Car is registered til june 2009. Hood and doors have good hinges and open fine. Be sure to check out the pictures in the link to see how nice the underside is.

DRIVETRAIN/CHASSIE: Looks to be the original 318 engine with power steering (just started to leak) power disc brakes, heavy duty aftermarket rdiator, factory fan shroud, new battery, New KYB shocks, New Mopar Performance leaf springs AND torsion bars, front brake pad, new engine hoses, nice brake hoses, tranny cooler, u-joint, Edelbrock Performer intake, spark plus, plug wires, Performer carb that was rebuilt couple months ago and chrome aircleaner. Recently install NEW Hooker Headers and a full duel exaust system with turndown tips. Wheels and tires do not come with car, but you can have a choice of 1970 14in rallye wheels with caps and rings or 15in steel rims with dog dish caps to drive it home or on a trailer and there is a spare in the trunk in case you drive it. 904 automatic transmission shifts nicely and will get you to where you need to go and engine runs just as nice. Has been converted to electronic ignighton and also comes with a Mallory distributor. Heater core is good, but switch was disconnected. Daily driver til winter came and now is sitting stored away waiting for more summer driving.

INTERIOR/ELECTRONICS: Electronics on the car are in very good condition. All gauges work in the dash. All light work except front marker lights. Wipers don't work not sure it it is the switch or the three speed wiper motor itself. Wiper arms were removed and put in trunk in anticipation of doing the wiper repair. Even the automatic console light works. Interior plastic was really bad and even with painting plus a dash cover, couldn't save it. It had severe cracks, chalking and bad fade, then add three diffrent color to the list and you can see how bad it was. Now the interior panels were removed, sanded and coated with plastic coat and looks excellent. It's a little shinnier than stock like someone used too much Armor All on it, but it really looks good. It wasn't done in a day, more like a week and tastefully done and trimmed in flat black. If desired, it could be painted a duller black for a more factory appearing look. Another bonus is that it reduced cabin noise down for a much quieter sounding ride. Dashpad, door panels, console, seat backs and kick panels were done and thus looking very nice. Even the duel exaust sound isn't annoying with all the prep that was done in the interior. There is no radio but comes with the radio bezel for the dash. Ashtray was replaced with a nicer one and lower dash was painted. Carpet and headliner are in excellent condition. After market steering wheel is on the column, but also comes with factory steering wheel. Has sunvisors, just haven't re-installed them yet. Front bucket seat and rear seat have been nicely recovered and are very comfertable. Great for those long road trips. Overall condition is great and will be fun for years to come.
